The Lammy Award-winning Sojourner: Black Gay Voices in the Age of AIDS turns 30 and will be celebrated at The City University of New York’s CLAGS: The Center for LGBTQ Studies on Thursday, December 14, 2023. B.Michael served as managing editor of this Other Countries volume and will be acknowledged at the event. B.Michael’s AIDS quilt was featured in the newly released documentary Surviving Voices – AIDS Memorial Quilt Panel Makers. Also included in the film is interview footage by What I Miss? co-curators Johnny Manzon-Santos and Sheilah Mabry speaking about the process of manifesting B.Michael’s panel.
